We men are a proud gender; clever is our name, progress is our game.
After 4000-plus years of guiding humanity, we simply have to accept the blame.

Here are 14 of the 54 reasons that men should not carry guns or sharp objects or matches and should not make decisions on any issue regarding women or children.

1. Who thought a more perfect union meant excluding women from voting since women were too emotional to make decisions? Men.
2. Who thought of many rationalizations to explain why women shouldn’t get and don't need equal rights, opportunity, and pay? Men.
3. Who thought a more perfect nation required slavery, so honorable citizens could own their servants and plantation workers? Men.
4. Who argued animals did not feel pain like humans, did not think like humans, and did not have languages like humans? Men.
5. Who pretended to believe eighteen year-old draftees mature enough to kill people and avoid life shattering consequences? Men.
6. Who argued human sexual play between consenting adults required legislative intervention, harassment, and limitations? Men.
7. Who thought up wage and benefit policies allowing pay so low that poor workers stayed poor and rich bosses got richer? Men.
8. Who regarded mass starvation as a political opportunity instead of an avoidable disaster, and so refused to share food? Men.
9. Who offered to pave farmlands with concrete or blacktop, leaving holes for planting crops, as a solution to severe droughts? Men.
10. Who claimed a god said to stone to death the wife and the adulterer, yet said nothing about stoning the unfaithful husband? Men.
11. Who claimed a god said that the rapist of a young woman must pay the father fifty pieces of silver and must marry the girl? Men.
12. Who argued for more production to ease hunger and poverty and did not argue for less demand by smart family planning? Men.
13. Who argued that a woman’s choice of doctors, options of medical procedures, and access to medicines should be limited? Men.
14. Who claimed emotions are plain messy, discussions are so unnecessary, and plaid shorts go just fine with striped shirts? Men.
